Success Leadership Series: Characteristics of Successful Leaders
One of the Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) requirements is to present one of the Success Leadership or Success Communication series workshops, or to present the Youth Leadership Program. Toastmasters International doesn’t provide much information about any of these workshops beyond the titles.
In District 10, we’ve seen a number of people present the workshop The Art of Effective Evaluation. (I did it myself.) Anant Mathur, ALB. and now ACG, presented the Success Leadership workshop Characteristics of Successful Leaders last month. I interviewed him right after his presentation.
This presentation came on the heels of a challenging club meeting. With this presentation filled with the incoming executive committee, they were able to examine the club’s leadership strengths and weaknesses. While this workshop is probably not used often except for the ACG, this could be a great tool for a struggling executive committee by a club coach or a new club with a club mentor.

Delay in Podcasts
Yes, I’ve been behind in posting more podcasts here, but there’s a good reason.
Introducing our new podcast Toastmasters101. This podcast introduces Toastmasters – the Competent Communicator manual, the Competent Leader manual – and adds some extra insights into public speaking. It won’t replace joining a club – nothing could do that! – but it will add some extra information and encouragement to try club roles while working on manual speeches.
If you know of someone who would like to know more about Toastmasters, this may be a podcast you would like to recommend.
In the meantime, we’re trying to get back to a regular schedule here at On the Table.
A Change In Title, Change in Look
We’ve updated our website. Check us out on your mobile phone or on your tablet. I think we’re compatible now with everything out there.
This will be the last time I can call myself the only DTM Mentorship Chair in Toastmasters.
I was elected Division Director and have surrendered the DTM Mentorship Chairmanship… but not the podcast. On the Table – Topics for Toastmasters will continue!
But with that in mind, I’d like to know what you’d like to hear about in the future. I’ve got a short survey. Would you mind taking it for me? You can find it at http://onthetablepodcasts.com/survey.
